Valerie Kelsey -  Soprano

Valerie studied at Trinity College, London and London College of Music where she won the Henry Baker Memorial Prize for Singers in 1979. After graduating she continued her studies with Rae Woodland and later with Pamela Bowden.

Valerie was a member of Opera Viva in London and has sung as soloist for a number of choirs and Choral Societies in such works as Messiah, Vivaldi’s Gloria, Ceremony of Carols by Britten, and The Fall of Lucifer by Geoffrey Burgon.

She now has a thriving private singing teaching practice, teaching children and adults, and is also teaches singing at Thornton College near Buckingham.


Clive Kelsey - Tenor

With his wife Valerie, Clive sang in a successful vocal quartet for over 20 years.  They were privileged to take part in a series of master classes for vocal ensembles at the Britten-Pears School for Advanced Musical Studies under Sir Peter Pears and Graham Johnson.

Clive has been interested in music and drama since his schooldays; he sang the tenor leads with Milton Keynes Gilbert & Sullivan Society for several years.  He also plays the piano.

After moving to Woburn Sands, Valerie and Clive formed Voice Versa.  He is the musical director and is also Choirmaster at St Michael’s Woburn Sands.  He is a lawyer in his day job.
